Future Boy Conan
July, 2008 AD - Mankind was facing a crisis that threatened extinction. Supermagnetic weapons, far more destructive than nuclear weapons caused half of the world to be wiped out in an instant. The Earth was seized by great tectonic upheavals and its axis twisted. The five continents were completely ripped apart and sunk into the sea.
Twenty years later, the last two known surviving people are living on Solitary Island. Conan and his grandfather have made a home of the crashed spaceship that brought its crew tumbling back to Earth that fateful day during the Great Disaster.

| Twenty years later the last two known surviving people are living on Solitary Island. Conan and his grandfather have made a home of the crashed spaceship that brought him back to earth all those years ago. Nature's bounty is plentiful but there's a new menace around the island. The shark Whitenose has been devouring all the fish recently so Conan dives into the sea to take him down. When returning to land he is in for the shock of his life - a young girl has washed ashore. She introduces herself as Lana from a settlement called High Harbor. Grandfather is releived that other humans had survived the apocalypse and Conan is excited to have met another person for the first time besides his grandpa. The celebratory mood is interrupted when a hydroplane from Idustria lands looking for Lana. Their interrogation of grandfather turns voilent and when they spot Lana they attempt to make their getaway on the hydroplane as Conan leaps into action to save his new friend. | ||
